Centre Island Toronto
15,000 runners and a sold out supporters section
Always ready to meet even the tightest deadlines, we were approached by Nike a week prior to the Nike Women 15k Toronto race to help support a unique element of this event. Runners would have a Radio Frequency Identification chip in their numbered race bib. We had cameras set-up at the 5km and 11km points along the beautiful Centre Island course. As the runners ran past these checkpoints the RFID chips would trigger the camera to take their picture. Quest AV provided three Microh 4mm LED walls at the finish line. As the runners passed by their photo would appear on the LED wall, immortalizing their achievement This event was logistically challenging being on Centre Island and having access to only one vehicle ferry so we parked our trucks on the island the day before ensuring a prompt set-up time come race day. Another challenge was meeting power requirements for the gear, we used three separate generators per LED wall to ensure that every runner had their moment in the spotlight.
The team at Quest AV is proud to have been part of helping the Nike Women 15k Toronto be an overwhelming success!
